All the while sprinkling the occasional cover of serious topics to legitimize their claim to being a serious news outlet.With this in mind, the more learned reader might be inclined to take everything they read here with a healthy dose of skepticism.Additionally, we'd like to make perfectly clear that anything published in this newspaper is strictly IC and by no means reflects the opinions of the OOC writers.OOC we try as best as humanly possible to remain impartial. The views and opinions expressed within the newspaper are born from the IC convictions and moods of the IC writers.Finally, this publication is being written for entertainment purposes only. We aim to spice up RP, incentivise interaction and breathe more life into the RP community. We therefore ask all readers to not take this too seriously and enjoy it for the harmless fun it is.

Submit a Story

If you'd like to submit something to be published in the following issues, please feel free to DM -> the_abyss. on Discord.Below are types of submissions we accept:

  • Stories relating to citizens of Ishgard & beyond. The more scandalous the better.

  • Ads for our matchmaking section.

  • Letters to our advice column section.

  • Advertisements of services & goods to sell

  • Advertisements of job openings and goods to buy

Please include the following details:

  • Who is submitting the story? Is it anonymous or a named tip? For stories, you can submit this either in bullet points or in several paragraphs, there is no word limit here, but keep in mind that we reserve the right to interpret what was said.

  • For matchmaking, keep your submission short and to the point. No more than 100 words.

  • For the advice column section, keep your submission to the point, no more than 300 words.

  • For job ads, please include who's hiring and for what as well as how they can be contacted more than 100 words.

  • For ads by jobseekers, please include your skills & experience in no more than 100 words.

Please note, we reserve the right to reject your submission if we feel that the story doesn't match our criteria or wouldn't fit the theme of the paper. We also reserve the right to write your story to match the overall tone of the Herald, please bear in mind that this could mean an alteration of details and a possible negative tone about your OC character, depending on how the IC writer feels about the story.Additionally, please note that your story may not be featured in the latest issue but one of the issues following.
